Oil and filter change by myself :)

I'm determined to do the oil and filter change on my 2000 yfz-r7 and i can't find how much oil goes per service manual. I've read somewhere that i should input 2.25 quartz but also 2.75 and now i'm totally confused. Can anyone help with this?

How about you start with a bit less, pour in about 2.25-2.5 quarts first then run the engine for a few minutes to help circulate the oil and the filter. Good luck with the oil change!

For 2000 YZF R7, the service manual actually lists 2.75 quarts (2.6 liters) with a filter change. If you're just doing oil without the filter, it's closer to 2.25 quarts. Best move? add about 2.5 quarts, run it for a bit, then top off after checking the sight glass or dipstick. Don't overfill please, these bikes hate that.

I completely understand the confusion,those numbers can really vary. For your 2000 YZF-R7,I'd recommend starting with around 2.5 quarts, especially if you're changing the filter as well. Then,just top it off slowly while you keep an eye on the level. It's definitley better to add a bit less than to overfill it.
