New R7 heating up?

I just got a brand new R7 and I've noticed the fan seems to be on a lot when I pull into a stop. I haven't been riding it super hard or anything, just some casual rides.
and yesterday, I checked the temperature when I got home, and it was at 98C. Is that normal for these bikes, or should I have Yamaha take a look?

Thanks!

The fan kicking in at stops is just the cooling system doing its job and 98°C is well within the usual operating temp range for it or are you perhaps seeing overheating warnings or is it cutting power?, if not then I wouldn't worry or maybe dont listen to me and just go to a dealer

Yeah normal, mine does the same. On a hot day, it can hit 110 deg C by the time I get home, with the fan going full blast. If I leave it running for a minute, it cools down fine. While riding, I usually see temps in the low 90s.

Same here and I think that 98 is withing the normal operating range, so you're all good. You can take it to the dealer and ask, but i don't think you'll need to, most of us experience this, so it's fine as long as it doesn't overheat.

Hey @ch3rry-welch, sounds totally normal. The R7 fans kick in at stops to keep things cool, and 98°C is well within range. No need to worry unless you see warning lights or it starts overheating.
