Stuck rear axle nut

I ran into a headache with my 2023 R7.
Basically, the rear axle nut gets completely stuck. It happened twice now.
Like it's welded and it takes so much force to get it off!
Tried removing it this weekend and it busted the side plates holding the axle. Such a hassle!
I'm torquing it to the spec according to the manual so I don't exactly understand what's the deal.
I'm worried it will affect my bike's stability when I get the structural integrity of my rear axle assembly compromised.
Anyone else in a similar situation? What to do?

Doublecheck the torque spec. A touch of anti seize on the threads can work wonders to prevent galling. Have you inspected the axel and side plates for damage that might need addressing before reassembly?

Even torqued to spec, they can seize if there's corrosion or thread locking compound involved but definitely don't force it too hard, using penetrating oil and heat can help free it up. Since your side plates got damaged, I'd inspect everything carefully before riding to avoid any safety issues.

I'm working on my 2022 Yamaha YZF-R7 and ran into this exact issue while swapping out the chain and sprockets. One of the bolts felt stuck even after hitting torque spec, and I didn't want to risk snapping anything!

Question though when using heat, are you talking about a heat gun or something stronger like a torch? And how long should I let the penetrating oil sit before trying again?
