Emissions issue

Got a 2023 YZF-R7 which I ride mostly in the early morning or late at night when it's cooler. Lately, the bike feels a bit rough when it's cold. A friend said it might be because of the emissions stuff, like the O2 sensor or AIS system.

I'm not really trying to make it a race bike, just want it to run smoother. Has anyone changed the emissions parts to help with this? Any kits or parts that I might need?

That feeling on a cold start is a bit common for the R7.
It's because the bike's fueling is tuned very lean from the factory to meet Euro 5 emissions standards.
A simple and effective fix for this is an ECU flash to re-tune the fueling map.
This completely smooths out the low-end performance and gets rid of that jerky throttle response.
A good flash can also disable the stock O2 sensor and the AIS without you having to remove anything physically, so you'll still be able to use the stock exhaust and air filter.
It's probably the most popular mod for street riders looking to improve their R7's feel without major changes.

Hey @Gloomy_Cake7288, that rough cold start is pretty normal on the R7. An ECU flash usually smooths things out and can handle the O2 sensor and AIS issues without swapping parts.
