Is it allowed in California to put blue reflective tape on a helmet

I'm aware that blue lights on vehicles have restrictions, but what's the deal with reflective tape on motorcycle or bike helmets? I'd make sure the DOT sticker remains visible on a motorcycle helmet. Just wondering if adding tape for more visibility would cause any problems or if it's completely fine.

I'm in Canada but my brother lives there. from what I know, California laws restrict blue lights, not passive reflective materials. So as long as the tape isn't illuminated or flashing, and your DOT sticker stays visible, i think you should be good to go

My knowledge is that California doesn't ban reflective tape, as long as it doesn't interfere or obstruct anything, so I think there should be a problem.

Reflective tape on helmets is technically fine in most places, but some riders argue it ruins the look and creates distracting reflections for other drivers at night...safety versus aesthetics is always a debate in the motorcycle world
